Madhya Pradesh, which was ranked 8th in the country in the last Khelo India Games, has now made it to the third position. It is a matter of pride and pride. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said this while addressing the closing ceremony of Khelo India Youth Games 2022 at the Boat Club of Bhopal. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, there has been development in every field in the country. It also includes sports area. The budget amount for sports has been increased. There was a playful atmosphere in Madhya Pradesh for 13 days.

Madhya Pradesh got 39 gold medals. Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan while congratulating the medal winners and participating players said that Maharashtra, the overall champion in Khelo India, deserves special congratulations. Haryana has been at the second position. Madhya Pradesh has also come on the third rank. Madhya Pradesh remained a little behind Haryana. At one time, Madhya Pradesh did not have any special name in sports. Now the successful players in these games have to move towards their destination. Their destination is now Asiad, Commonwealth Games and Olympics. In all these players have to win medals. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Sports Minister of Madhya Pradesh Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, the Sports Authority of India and the entire team of the Sports Department deserve congratulations. The players have shown enthusiasm, determination and passion. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan extended best wishes to the sportspersons for continuous victory.

Union Sports, Youth Affairs and Information Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that many records were broken in the Khelo India Youth Games held in Madhya Pradesh. The players have performed excellently. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and his entire team deserve congratulations and thanks. These players have proved to be medal contenders in many international events. Very good arrangements were made for the Khelo India Games in Madhya Pradesh. Young players got a platform to showcase their talent. With the organization of sports under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, talents in the field of sports are coming forward. Players coming from poor families have done exceptionally well. It is necessary that the government, society and corporate houses, sports organizations and federations work together to promote sports. Support amount should also be given for sports activities. Union Minister Thakur also made separate mention of daughters and other players who have excelled in various sports. In these games, along with the participation of 5 thousand 800 players, about 10 thousand people including the officials related to the arrangements participated. This event was very successful in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that in the year 2014, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave importance to sports like Malkhamb and did the work of recognizing them as state sports. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in promoting all sports. Prime Minister Shri Modi has given hosting of Khelo India Youth Games 2022 to Madhya Pradesh. His dream is to unite and unite the country at one place through sports. The team of sports coach, sports officer and sports department of Madhya Pradesh deserves congratulations. More than two dozen sports activities took place in 8 cities. Many traditional games have also got a platform.

Union Minister of State for Sports, Youth Affairs and Home Nisith Pramanik and Padma Shri, Khel Ratna awardee and Olympian shooting player Gagan Narang were present at the closing ceremony of Khelo India Youth Games at Boat Club in Bhopal. A large number of sportspersons, students, sports loving citizens and youth were present on the occasion including Principal Secretary Sports Deepti Gaur Mukherjee and Sports Director Ravi Gupta.

The concluding program saw the performance of little flute player Anirvan Roy. A film on the theme Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat was screened. Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan and Union Sports Minister Shri Thakur and other guests honored the players and teams. The ceremony also saw a dance performance on the Games anthem “Hindustan Ka Dil Dhadka Do”. Many cultural presentations also took place. Gratitude was expressed to State Bank of India and other undertakings for their cooperation.
