There is good news for the youth who are preparing for the recruitment of Agniveer in the Indian Army. The Central Government has announced 10% reservation for ex-servicemen on vacant posts in the Armed Forces (BSF). Not only this, it has also been decided to give relaxation in upper age limit to Agniveer.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced this by issuing a gazette notification on 6 March.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has amended the Border Security Force (BSF), General Duty Cadre Recruitment Rules, 2015 to provide 10 per cent reservation to Agniveers. According to the notification, in the BSF recruitment exam, the fireman will also get relaxation in the physical efficiency test ie physical efficiency test.

According to the notification, the candidates of the first batch of fire fighters will get five years of age relaxation for the post of constable. At the same time, former Agniveers will get a relaxation of three years. Earlier, the Indian Army had changed the recruitment process of Agniveer. Candidates have to appear in the written test first. Candidates will join the rally only after passing the exam. The last stage of recruitment will be the Medical Test. Army has decided to reduce the crowd in the recruitment rally.
