Updates on the violence in Manipur : 23,000 civilians were saved , and the Army increased aerial surveillance

Around 23,000 civilians have been rescued and transferred to military garrisons by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, who were called in to stop the ethnic violence in Manipur, the defence army reported in a statement on Sundayanipur’s , current state of affairs has significantly improved. Curfew was also loosened today. There is still unrest in a few places in Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Moreh. There were peace meetings. Out of the stolen arms, 134 have been found so far.

No violent incidents have been documented since the start of the rescue efforts, and the curfew hours have been loosened to 7am to 10am.
No major violence has been reported, so the curfew in Churachandpur will be relaxed from 7 to 10 am today, followed by a flag march by security forces immediately after.The 120 to 125 Army and Assam Rifles columns, who have been working tirelessly for the previous 96 hours to rescue civilians from all communities, stop violence, and restore normalcythe army statement said.
The army’s use of aerial surveillance techniques has significantly increased in Manipur over the last 24 hours. In the Imphal Valley, there have also been more army helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
