CBI registers corruption case against Sameer Wankhede, the officer who arrested Aryan Khan. Officials allege a demand for a ₹25 crore bribe to prevent framing Aryan Khan in the drug bust.

Searches are conducted by CBI across Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi, and Kanpur in connection with the investigation. The focus is on gathering evidence to substantiate the corruption allegations.

Sameer Wankhede, former Mumbai zonal chief of NCB, is accused of seeking a hefty bribe to avoid implicating Aryan Khan.

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was cleared of all charges in May 2022 due to insufficient evidence. CBI takes action after two years, intensifying scrutiny in the high-profile case.
