Arjun Kapoor Addresses False Pregnancy Rumors about Malaika Arora, Calls for Responsible Reporting
Arjun Kapoor, the Bollywood actor, recently spoke candidly about the incessant rumors surrounding his relationship with Malaika Arora and addressed the false reports of her pregnancy.
Last year, he had vehemently denied the speculations and condemned the publication and journalist responsible for spreading such gossip articles. During a recent interview, Arjun expressed his frustration with the prevailing clickbait culture and held the media accountable for propagating baseless rumors.
Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram Stories in November last year to call out a publication for publishing fabricated news about Malaika Arora and him expecting a child. He shared a screenshot of the article and criticized the casual, insensitive, and unethical approach taken by the journalist.
Arjun emphasized that such fake gossip articles tend to spread across various media platforms and are wrongly perceived as the truth. He urged the media to exercise responsibility and refrain from playing with their personal lives.
The actor further discussed the prevalence of clickbait culture, which thrives on negativity. Arjun acknowledged that, as actors, their personal lives are not always private, but there is a certain limit to which the media should delve into their personal matters.
He appealed to journalists to verify the information and consult with them when reporting something crucial. Arjun highlighted the potential life-altering consequences of spreading unverified news, urging the media to be more cautious and respectful.
Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have been in a relationship for several years. Malaika, previously married to actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, divorced in 2016 and continues to co-parent their son, Arhaan Khan.
The couple made their relationship public in 2019 but have kept their marriage plans a subject of speculation. While wedding rumors have been circulating, neither Arjun nor Malaika have confirmed any specific plans or timelines for their marriage.
In December 2022, Malaika Arora appeared on the reality show “Moving In With Malaika” and mentioned discussing marriage plans and having children with Arjun Kapoor during a conversation with her friend, filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan.
In the interview, Arjun expressed his trust in journalists and emphasized the importance of verifying information before reporting.
He urged the media not to exploit personal lives for the sake of entertainment, avoid personal attacks, and refrain from believing their own lies.
