According to trade experts, the highly anticipated film Adipurush is set to make an impressive opening collection of ₹40 to ₹50 crore on its release day, June 16. Directed by Om Raut and starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, the film is expected to break box office records.

With a wide release across more than 4000 screens in India, Adipurush has generated significant hype among the audience, especially after the positive response to its new and revised trailer. The film is based on the legendary epic Ramayan and promises to be a family outing.

Trade analyst Girish Johar predicts a massive opening for Adipurush due to the widespread anticipation and its multi-language release. He estimates the film’s opening collection to range between ₹45 and 50 crore, or potentially even higher, for all languages combined.

However, Johar notes that the film’s success over the weekend will depend on its content and audience reception. If the film meets expectations, the collections for the second and third days could reach ₹60 crore and ₹70 crore, respectively.

Additionally, if the overseas audience appreciates the film, Adipurush has the potential to earn around ₹150-170 crore worldwide during the weekend.

Regarding ticket prices, several multiplexes have raised their rates for Adipurush, with luxury seats in Delhi’s multiplexes reaching ₹2000. While this can be attributed to Prabhas’ popularity in the southern film industry, Girish emphasizes that the film’s value for money will ultimately determine its impact on the audience.

The advance booking for Adipurush started on June 11 and has already garnered approximately ₹3.5 crore through advance ticket sales in India. In the Australian and New Zealand markets, the film has collected nearly $16,000 in advance bookings.

Adipurush, heavily inspired by the Hindu mythological epic Ramayan, features Prabhas as Raghav (Lord Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravan).

The film, produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, along with Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, and Pramod, and Vamsi of UV Creations, is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 16, 2023.
