Man Arrested for Cow Sexual Assault in Nainital: Police

In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old man has been apprehended by the villagers and subsequently arrested by the police for allegedly engaging in unnatural sex with a cow. The incident took place in Nainital, triggering outrage and prompting legal action.

Following the villagers’ swift action in nabbing the accused, he was handed over to the police. A case has been registered under section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to unnatural sex, along with relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

The complaint, filed by a local resident of Lamachaur, stated that he discovered the man involved in the illicit act with the cow while checking on his grazing animal.

Upon raising an alarm, the accused attempted to flee but was pursued and captured with the help of fellow villagers near the Kamaluwa Ghaja intersection. The police were informed, and the accused was handed over to them.

The Nainital senior superintendent of police (SSP), Pankaj Bhatt, confirmed the arrest, stating, “We have apprehended the accused for engaging in unnatural sex with a cow based on the villagers’ vigilance and subsequent handover to the police.”

In the aftermath of the incident, tension escalated in the region as right-wing organizations gathered and shaved the accused person’s head. However, the police swiftly intervened to diffuse the situation and maintain order.
