An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 struck Mindoro island in the northern Philippines on Thursday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).
The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles). The US Geological Survey (USGS) also recorded the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2, with the epicenter off Calatagan municipality in Batangas province near Manila.
