Salman Khan ensures cultural integrity on Bigg Boss OTT, promises clean content

In a recent interaction with the media, Salman Khan, the popular host of the reality show Bigg Boss, made a firm statement regarding the OTT version of the show.

Ahead of the premiere of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Salman emphasized that he will not allow anything that goes against Indian culture to happen on the show. He expressed his belief that the implementation of guidelines on OTT platforms has led to the improvement of content quality.

Salman Khan’s Stance on OTT Content

Salman Khan stated, “I won’t let anyone do something that is against our culture on OTT.” He acknowledged that guidelines have been put in place for OTT platforms, which have contributed to the enhancement of content quality.

This assertion reiterates his previous remarks about the need for censorship on the medium, emphasizing that vulgarity, nudity, and excessive swearing should be curbed. Salman believes that cleaner content will have better viewership and is more appropriate for younger audiences.

Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 and Salman’s Role

Bigg Boss OTT 2 will be streamed on Jio Cinema from June 17, with Salman Khan taking on the role of the host for the first time in the OTT version.

The show will feature a “strange house” theme and will welcome 13 contestants into the Bigg Boss house, designed by Omung Kumar B. and Vanita Omung Kumar. The previous season of Bigg Boss OTT was hosted by Karan Johar.

Salman Khan’s comments shed light on his commitment to maintaining cultural integrity on the show and his belief in the positive impact of guidelines on the quality of content on OTT platforms.
