Karnataka Shivamogga Airport: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Shivamogga Airport in Karnataka. During this, PM Modi while addressing a huge public meeting said that today, Shivamogga has got its own airport. This was a long standing demand which has now been fulfilled. The airport is grand and beautiful. It shows a unique combination of tradition and technology of Karnataka.
He further said that today once again I have got the opportunity to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth thousands of crores related to the development of Karnataka. Be it a vehicle or a government, if a double engine is installed, its speed increases manifold. Earlier, when the development of Karnataka was discussed, it was limited to big cities, but our government is working to take development to the villages, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of Karnataka.
‘Air India’ means scam in Congress rule- PM
PM Modi told that today Shivamogga has got its own airport, it is very grand and beautiful. This is not just an airport, but a campaign for the new flight of dreams of the jawans of this area. Citizens of India will travel in ‘Made in India’ aircraft-
Praising the PM Modi government, he said, today the sting of India’s aviation sector is ringing all over the world. The day is not far when the citizens of India will fly in ‘Made in India’ aircraft. Small towns should also be connected with air connectivity, Congress never had such a thought. Today many small cities of the country have modern airports. You can imagine the speed at which the BJP government is working.
Attacking the Congress, he said that Air India was known for corruption and loss-making business during the Congress rule. Today Air India is touching new heights. New possibilities are going to be created in the aviation sector. Today the expansion of air travel is due to the policies and decisions of the BJP government. In 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country. In the last 9 years, 74 new airports have been built. Airport will open new door of development for Shivamogga
PM Modi said that Shivamogga is the land of nature, culture and agriculture. This new airport will open a new door of development for Shivamogga. This region is one of the most fertile places in India. We can find different types of crops here. This establishes this place as an agricultural center.
He told that the infrastructure related to good connectivity is going to create new employment opportunities in this entire area. Today, a big campaign is going on to make life easier for the mothers and sisters of Shivamogga and this region. This campaign is to deliver ‘water from tap to every house’.
