Case of Asaram Bapu : In 2013, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Asaram. In this instance, he was given a life sentence by a Gujarati court in Gandhinagar. However, the victim was raped sometime between 2001 and 2006.
Asaram has been granted bail by the Rajasthan High Court in the case involving forged documents. This bail has been granted in the case of the advocate’s submission of fictitious documents to the Supreme Court. This bail has been granted by the bench of High Court Justice Kuldeep Mathur. However, due to punishment in other cases, Asaram won’t be able to leave prison for the time being. Asaram was found guilty of rape and given a life sentence.
