Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented the state budget in the assembly on Wednesday. The Finance Minister presented the paper less (e-Budget) in the tablet after reading it in the House. This is the last budget of the fourth term of the Shivraj government.
During the budget presentation, the Finance Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has made its presence felt on the global scene by roaring like a lion. Where today the main economies of the world are struggling with recession.
India’s target of $5 trillion economy is not baseless. It is a matter of pride for the state that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state is also giving its full contribution with dynamism.
A provision of Rs 8,000 crore has been proposed in the budget for “Laadli Bahna Yojana”. This scheme will prove to be a milestone in the direction of making women financially empowered and capable.
The main points of the budget were as follows-

Highlights of the Finance Minister’s address-
-When a woman is strong, the family is strong. When the family is strong, the state is strong and when the state is strong, the nation is strong. It is the effort of our government that our sisters of the state come in the role of taking leadership in the family. Along with this, do not depend on anyone financially for your needs. Our government has sensitively understood the inexplicable agony of the female mind.
-From the birth of Kanya Ratna to her entire life time, our government is with her. Arrangements for nutrition of mothers before the birth of children, financial assistance on institutional delivery, Ladli Lakshmi Yojana on the birth of a girl child and other schemes are going on. The results of these schemes are that according to the National Health Family Survey, the sex ratio at birth in the state has increased from 927 to 956 in the year 2020-21 as compared to 2015-16.
-The Finance Minister said that according to the advance estimates, there has been an increase of 16.43% in the State’s Gross Domestic Product in the year 2022-23. At the same time, the contribution of our state in the country’s gross domestic product has increased from 3.6% to 4.8% in the past years.
-The per capita income of the state was ₹ 30 thousand 497 in 2011-12, which has increased three and a half times to ₹ 1 lakh 40 thousand 582 in the year 2022-23.
-India has the honor of chairing the #G20 group under the leadership of PM Modi. Madhya Pradesh has been entrusted with the organization of 8 meetings of sub-groups including agriculture, culture of this group. The state will benefit from these events.

-Started from the year 2007, more than 44 lakh 39 thousand girls have been benefited so far in the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. A provision of ₹ 929 crore is proposed for the financial year 2023-24.
