The third female cheetah to pass away in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh within a month and a half on Tuesday. The cheetah named “Daksha,” which was relocated to Kuno National Park from South Africa as part of “Project Cheetah,” was discovered fatally injured by the monitoring team at 10:45 am on Tuesday, according to the Union Environment Ministry. The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change stated in a formal statement that the wounds discovered on “Daksha” appeared to have been brought on by a violent encounter with a male cheetah during the courtship/mating attempt.

Within 42 days, a third cheetah perishes in Kuno National Park. Sasha, a cheetah from Namibia, passed away on March 27 from a kidney condition, and Uday, a cheetah from South Africa, passed away on April 23.
