For decades, we have known Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, by the name of Bhopal only. But maybe now this name can be changed. There is a demand to change the name of the city from Bhopal to Bhojpal.
This demand has been raised by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, in fact, these days he is doing Shri Ram Katha at Bhel Dussehra ground in Bhopal. Bhojpal Mahotsav Samiti has invited him to perform Ramkatha.
With the arrival of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya in Bhopal, the issue of renaming Bhopal to Bhojpal has once again started heating up. During the story itself, he again raised this demand and also said that I will talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about this. They have made this demand many times in the past as well. He also says that Bhopal is known only because of Raja Bhoj. He has contributed a lot for Bhopal. That is why the name of Bhopal should be changed to Bhojpal in his honour. He even said that until Bhopal is renamed as Bhojpal, he will not come here to narrate. He said that this should not cause any problem to any religious organization, rather it would increase the pride of the state.
