The only “son” of former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Suchetana Bhattacharya, has made the “difficult but not impossible” decision to have sex reassignment surgery (SRS).
Suchetana explained to News18 that the situation was “not easy at all” and that this decision could only be made after a “very long time.” Additionally, Suchetana urged those who were unable to leave for a variety of reasons to keep going strong.
Given that he has known who she is since she was a child, Suchetana claimed that her father would have supported this choice.
She also urged the political parties and the media to respect the decision and refrain from misrepresenting the news.
