Minor Earthquake with Magnitude 2.5 Strikes Haryana’s Jhajjar

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a minor earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale shook the region of Jhajjar in Haryana.

The seismic event, which occurred at 7:08 am IST, was confirmed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). Situated at a depth of 12 kilometers, the quake’s epicenter was located at coordinates 28.71 latitude and 76.70 longitude.

The NCS promptly disseminated the information through their official Twitter account, providing the details of the earthquake: “Earthquake of Magnitude: 2.5, Occurred on 06-06-2023, 07:08:47 IST, Lat: 28.71 & Long: 76.70, Depth: 12 km, Location: Jhajjar, Haryana.”

Despite the tremor, no reports of damage have been received thus far, assuring the public of their safety.
