Neeraj Chopra, India’s top javelin thrower, has once again proven his mettle. On May 5 (Friday), Neeraj Chopra won the title of the Doha Diamond League. Neeraj Chopra has won medals for his nation in significant competitions like the Olympic Games, World Championship, and Diamond League. He is the first Indian athlete to win a second straight gold medal in the Diamond League. At the same time, he received congratulations for winning from Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.
In the men’s javelin throw final in Doha, Neeraj Chopra threw the javelin 88.67 metres on his very first attempt.
The Czech athlete who won the silver medal at the Olympics in Tokyo, Jakub Vadlejch, came in second. Granada’s Andersen Peters came in third. Let us remind you that Anderson Peters defeated Neeraj Chopra to claim the gold at the 2017 World Championship.
