Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday approved Rs 750 crore for the rejuvenation campaign of roads of 413 urban bodies at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Auditorium and released Rs 350 crore as the first installment with a single click. On this occasion, the CM also gave blunt advice for quality control to the officers of all civic bodies.
Chief Minister Shivraj said that the tender process should be completed in 15 to 20 days. Have to finish the work in May. After this the rains will come. Giving advice, the CM said that ministers and officers should not get confused that this contractor should come, if he comes to know, then it would be very good. Don’t get caught up in all this.
He said that care has to be taken that the right agency is selected as quality control is very important. It should not happen that the asphalt was slapped, later it was uprooted. Keep in mind that the right agency is selected and the quality of work is complete.
CM Shivraj also said that the condition of the roads in the metropolitan cities of the state was fine, but the condition of the roads in the urban areas, especially in the interior areas, is such that they have to be repaired, so for the first time in the state, funds were given for the repair of such roads.
Urban areas have to give their best performance in the cleanliness survey, in which all of you should get involved from now itself and pay attention to cleanliness and beautification by finishing the repair work etc. in the urban areas , Organize healthy competition among local markets of urban areas for better performance in cleanliness and beautification. There should be competition among local markets that our market is more clean and beautiful.
