Panchkula Haryana: 16-Year-Old Girl Suffers Horrific Acid Attack, Sustains Severe Burns on Face and Neck

In a distressing incident, a 16-year-old girl from Barwala town, located 23km away from Panchkula city in Haryana, became the victim of a suspected acid attack on Friday night. The young girl suffered burn injuries on her face, neck, and other parts of her body as a result of an altercation with an acquaintance, who allegedly threw acid at her.

Following the incident, the victim was promptly taken to the primary health center in Barwala, and later transferred to the civil hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula for further medical assistance. Her condition is reported to be serious, indicating the severity of the injuries she sustained.

Police sources revealed that a man has been detained in connection with the case after a formal complaint was registered at the Chandimandir police station. The investigation into the incident is currently underway to ascertain the full details of the attack and bring the perpetrator to justice.
