Delhi-Dehradun Expressway divided into 4 sections

The 6-lane Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is being constructed at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore. Once completed, it will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from 4-5 hours to just 2 hours. In addition, it will be connected to Haridwar by a 51 km 6-lane greenfield road, thereby reducing the Delhi-Haridwar journey to just 90 minutes. 60-70 percent of the construction work of the expressway has been completed. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari gave this information after inspecting the expressway on Thursday.

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is divided into four sections. The construction is underway starting from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (DME) near Akshardham in Delhi, Shastri Park, Khajuri Khas, Mandola, Baghpat, Shamli, Saharanpur, EPE Interchange at Khekra in Uttar Pradesh to Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will have 12 types of facilities, which will include facilities like food and fuel for passengers. The expressway has also been constructed keeping in mind the safety of wildlife.
