Delhi Flood News Live Updates : Yamuna River water level starting to drop , relief to Delhi residents soon – CM Kejriwal

The national capital of Delhi continues to be in a flood-like scenario, with several sections experiencing water logging.

The Yamuna water level in Delhi stabilised, and according to The Central Water Commission, it will decrease 208.45 M by 3 a.m. on Friday. Due to the shutdown of their three water treatment plants, Ghaziabad, Chandrawal, and Okhla as a result of a rise in the Yamuna’s water level, the government has agreed to reduce the water supply by 25% for the city, which is located in the middle of a swamp. The Delhi Metro temporarily closed Yamuna Bank Station and slowed down trains on four Yamuna bridges due to the rising river’s water level.

People walked through knee-deep water in low-lying regions to reach a safer location as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the closure of the school along the river and the closing of water treatment plants. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, added that private businesses in the city have been urged to permit their staff members to work from home.
