This time the Oscar Awards were historic for India. For the first time India has got two Oscar Awards. While the song Natu-Natu from the film RRR won the award for Best Original Song, The Elephant Whispers became the Best Documentary Short Film.
The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR’ won the title in this category. It beat out “Lift Me Up” from “Panther: Wakanda Forever” and “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.
Natu-Natu had earlier received the title of Best Original Song at the Golden Globes Awards. Chandrabose and composer MM Keerwani, who wrote RRR’s Natu-Natu song at the Oscar ceremony, took the trophy. Apart from this, The Elephant Whispers director Kartiki Gonsalves and producer Guneet Monga received the award.
Telugu song ‘Naatu Naatu’ is composed by MM Keeravani and sung by Kaal Bhairav & Rahul Sipligunj. The song is picturized on actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, in which their peppy dance moves have also been appreciated.
Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ singers Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj gave a power-packed performance on this Telugu song at the Oscars ceremony, leaving the audience at the venue in a tizzy. The performance received a standing ovation from the audience in the audience. The performance of Indian singers at the ceremony was announced by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
