Kajol advocates for normalizing female pleasure, comparing it to eating and drinking

In an exclusive interview, Bollywood actress Kajol expressed her views on the normalization of female pleasure, stating that it should be considered a regular part of life, just like eating and drinking.

Kajol, who will be seen in the upcoming film Lust Stories 2, emphasized the importance of destigmatizing the concept. She highlighted how society once openly discussed it but later closed itself off from the topic. Kajol believes that by making it a part of everyday conversations, we can remove the unnecessary attention and focus surrounding it.

Lust Stories 2, in which Kajol stars in a segment directed by Amit R. Sharma, explores various aspects of human desires and relationships. The talented actor has openly admitted to struggling with portraying lust on screen.

During her recent interview, Kajol reflected on the evolution of lust in cinema, noting that it used to be symbolized by two flowers coming together, followed by a pregnancy.

However, she acknowledged that modern cinema has taken a step forward by addressing such themes in a more nuanced manner. Kajol believes that movies reflect the changing dynamics of love and relationships in society.

Lust Stories 2 is a highly anticipated four-part anthology and a sequel to the Emmy-nominated series of the same name.

Produced by RSVP Films and Flying Unicorn Entertainment, the film features an ensemble cast including Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, Neena Gupta, Angad Bedi, and Mrunal Thakur.

Directed by acclaimed filmmakers Konkona Sensharma, R Balki, Sujoy Ghosh, and Amit R. Sharma, Lust Stories 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix India starting June 29.
