In order to raise awareness of this “forgotten” disease and shed light on the difficulties faced by vitiligo patients, non-profit organisations VR Foundation (USA) and VITSAF (Nigeria) and their supporters around the world launched the campaign.

The goal of World Vitiligo Day is to empower people who have the condition, improve access to care and support, and promote an inclusive and compassionate society.
