Tragedy struck as a 16-year-old cyclist lost his life in a heart-wrenching hit-and-run incident near the Colony Number 4 light point in the Industrial Area of Chandigarh. The victim, identified as Vishal from Hallomajra, was riding alongside his neighbor when a speeding car collided with their bicycles.
Regrettably, due to poor visibility, the car driver failed to notice the cyclists, resulting in a catastrophic accident. Both occupants of the cycle suffered severe injuries, with Vishal tragically succumbing to head injuries.
His friend is currently receiving treatment for a fractured leg at Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector-32. The Industrial Area police station has registered a case against the unidentified car driver.
