In a major development, Air India’s replacement flight, carrying all crew members and passengers, has successfully departed from Russia’s Magadan airport bound for San Francisco.
The airline confirmed the departure through a tweet, providing relief to the stranded passengers. The replacement flight is scheduled to reach San Francisco at 12.15 am PDT (0715 GMT) on Thursday.

After experiencing engine trouble, the original Delhi-to-San Francisco flight was diverted to Russia’s Far East, leaving passengers stranded for over 36 hours. Air India took swift action by sending an aircraft to Russia to pick up the affected passengers and resume their journey to San Francisco.
