Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, on his birth anniversary and said his courage and his thoughts on good governance inspire inspiration. Shivaji, born in 1630, is known for his might, military prowess and intense leadership , a ruler who carved a niche for himself with his guerrilla tactics is being celebrated today.
Modi tweeted, “I pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. We are inspired by his courage and his thoughts on good governance. He did this tweet in Marathi language. The Prime Minister also tagged an audio-visual ‘montage’ of his tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji over the years on Twitter.
