Vande Bharat Express Trial Run Begins Between Bengaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad, Set To be Inaugurated on June 26

A trial run of the high-speed Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad has commenced in preparation for its official launch. The super-fast train service will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 26 in Karnataka.

The trail run of the Vande Bharat Express started from Bengaluru’s Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) station at 5.45 am and is expected to reach Dharwad station at 12.45 pm. Later, the train will depart from Dharwad at 1.15 pm and arrive at KSR station by 8.10 pm.

This marks the second Vande Bharat Express introduced in Karnataka. The train set, consisting of eight coaches, was recently brought to KSR station from Chennai’s Integrated Coach Factory.

The Vande Bharat Express will operate on all days except Tuesdays, starting from Yeswantpur railway station in Bengaluru and making a stop only at Davangere along the route.

The travel time between Bengaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad is estimated to be around seven hours, significantly reducing the duration compared to other trains that typically take nine to ten hours.

Previously, the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express, launched in November last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, became the first high-speed train for southern India.
