In a recent incident in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, two wagons of an LPG rake in a goods train derailed in Shahpura Bhitoni. The derailment occurred while the goods train was being positioned for unloading. Fortunately, no mainline trains were affected by the incident.
The West Central Railway CPRO reported that the derailment took place last night, and prompt action was taken to ensure the safety of the mainline train operations. Train movement on the main line remained normal throughout, and restoration work commenced after sunrise under the supervision of the siding authorities.
The CPRO further stated, “Two wagons of the LPG rake of a goods train derailed while being placed for unloading last night. No mainline movement of trains was affected. Train movement is normal in the main line. Restoration work started after sunrise in the presence of siding authorities. Fitness certificate issued by siding owner.”
