In a bid to ensure food safety and compliance, the food safety wing in Bhopal has intensified regulatory checks on local bakeries. Recent inspections led to the collection of samples from several establishments, including Muskaan Bakery, Noor Bakery, and Viking Cafe and Restaurant in Minal Residency. These samples, consisting of items such as toast, maida, khari, vinegar, and sivaiya, have been sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory in Bhopal for thorough examination. Strict action will be taken based on the laboratory’s findings, as mandated by the Food Safety and Standards Act.
Taking the matter seriously, Collector Asheesh Singh has instructed the food safety wing to crack down on food business operators found serving substandard or adulterated food. Additionally, operators who are discovered to be cooking in unclean and unhygienic environments will also face strict consequences. With a focus on public health and consumer protection, the authorities are determined to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the city.
