Madhya Pradesh’s Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) recently announced the results for Class X and Class XII examinations. The pass percentage for regular students in Class X stands at 63.29%, displaying a positive growth of 3.75% compared to the previous year. However, the pass percentage for regular students in Class XII witnessed a decline, reaching 55.28%.
Girls have emerged as the frontrunners in both exams, outperforming boys. In Class X, girls achieved an impressive pass percentage of 66.47%, while boys secured a pass percentage of 60.26%. Similarly, in Class XII, girls achieved a pass percentage of 58.75%, surpassing the boys’ pass percentage of 52%.
The decrease in the Class XII pass percentage can be attributed to the students facing board exams for the first time in a while due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The School Education Minister, Inder Singh Parmar, acknowledged this factor as a significant reason behind the slightly lower results.
In the Class X examination, a total of 8,15,364 regular students appeared, with 3,39,441 students achieving a first division. Additionally, 1,30,971 private students took the Class X exam, and 3,405 of them secured a first division. The pass percentage for private students stood at 17.11%.
