Bhopal : The two-day IPS meet was organized by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Home Minister Narottam Mishra and Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena along with other IPS were present at the inauguration of the IPS meet at Bhopal’s Minto Hall.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the IPS meet, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised the MP Police and said that I have seen the spirit of patriotism and public service being implemented literally throughout the year. During Covid-19, our police personnel and officers stood at the crossroads keeping their lives in their palm and tying a shroud on their heads.
CM Shivraj said that Madhya Pradesh Police has a glorious history. Be it Punjab, North East, Kashmir, wherever the need arose, you went and contributed to maintain the unity and integrity of the country by achieving great success. The manner in which our jawans and officers performed their duties when needed fills us with pride. I am happy that in the matter of policing, our police has a different name and pride in the whole country.
The CM further said that when I had become the new Chief Minister, there was terror of dacoits in Madhya Pradesh at that time. I gave the responsibility of eliminating them to Shri Sarabjit Singh ji and Shri Vijay Yadav ji. It didn’t even take a year and the gangs of dacoits were finished and could not flourish again. I am proud of my police and hawk force, they are given a task and they get immediate results. I cannot express in words how proud I am to put the medal on his chest.
As a friend, I want to tell you that sometimes you are busy with work and you are unable to take care of your children. I want to urge such friends to spare time and give affection to the children.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the challenges and achievements of the police were discussed. Along with this, arrangements were also made for the relatives of the officers participating in the program to visit various tourist places of Bhopal like Tribal Museum, Human Museum and Vote Club etc.
Due to Corona, the IPS meet has faded for some time, but this year a lot of preparations have been made for the program. In this two-day meeting, along with cultural programmes, the relatives of IPS officers will visit various places of Bhopal and enjoy delicious dishes.
