Thirteen people died in two horrific road accidents on the Mumbai-Goa highway on Thursday morning. In the first accident, 9 people have died in a collision between a car and a truck. In another accident, four people died when a private bus overturned.
The car and truck collided at 5 am. The family was going to Mumbai in a car. The family was going to attend the last rites of their relative. Maruti’s Eeco car collided with the car when it was going from Mumbai to Ratnagiri. The car was shattered after the collision.
The traffic on the Mumbai-Goa highway was halted for some time due to the early morning accident. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police inspected the spot and made the traffic smooth.
At the same time, a private bus overturned on the Mumbai-Goa highway itself, killing 4 people, while 23 people are said to be injured. There were 36 people in the bus.
