Yellow alert has been issued for rain and snowfall on Wednesday and Thursday in most areas of Himachal Pradesh. The weather has once again taken a turn in Himachal Pradesh. Since Wednesday morning, snowfall is continuing in the South Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang along with the high peaks of Lahaul and Manali. There has been about three inches of snowfall in the South Portal of Atal Tunnel.
Due to snowfall in North Portal and South Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang, the movement of vehicles towards the tunnel has come to a standstill. In case of emergency, movement of four by four vehicles will be allowed. In view of the bad weather, the local people were also instructed to avoid unnecessary travel.
At the same time, it is also snowing in Pangi tribal area of Chamba district. A white sheet of snow has been spread all around. Due to snowfall, the temperature has dropped below zero degree, due to which the cold has increased in the region. It is cloudy in the capital Shimla.
