A 27-year-old Chinese influencer, known as Brother Huang, has tragically passed away after participating in a viral drinking challenge. This marks the second fatality in less than a month from such dangerous games. Huang’s excessive consumption of baijiu, a high-alcohol spirit, led to his untimely death, raising concerns about the safety of viral challenges.
Brother Huang, with a substantial online following, engaged in a live-streamed drinking battle that turned fatal on June 2. The young internet celebrity consumed an excessive amount of baijiu during the challenge, resulting in his demise. Baijiu, commonly referred to as “Chinese firewater,” has a potent alcohol content ranging from 35% to 60%.
