IMD Alert : Unseasonal rains in MP , heavy rainfall with hailstorm alert in 16 districts
Madhya Pradesh is still experiencing unseasoned heavy rains. On Thursday night, there was also drizzle in many places, including the state capital of Bhopal. On Friday, hailstorm and lightning alerts were issued in 16 districts, including Sagar, Ujjain, and Dewas. There is a chance of rain in the state at the start of May.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather has changed across the state due to the activation of Western Disturbance. On Friday, drizzle may occur in some places like Indore, Ujjain, Chambal, Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions in Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Harda and Betul.And in the districts of Narmadapuram, Rewa, Indore and Chambal as well as in Bhopal, Datia, Rajgarh, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Sehore, Chhindwara, Umaria, Neemuch, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Ratlam, Mandla, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Agar, Seoni and Mandsaur districts. Thunderstorm with speed of 40 to 50 km per hour is possible.
Hailstorms and strong thunderstorms are possible in Sagar division’s Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, and Niwari, as well as Raisen, Dewas, Shajapur, Dindori, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Ujjain, Guna, Anuppur, and Katni. There is also the possibility of lightning striking and shining here.
