The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the PSLV-C55 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Saturday, deploying two Singaporean Earth observation satellites into the intended orbit.

The TeLEOS-2 satellite is being developed in collaboration with DSTA and ST Engineering. Once deployed and operational, it will be used to support the satellite imagery needs of various agencies within the Singapore government. TeLEOS-2 is equipped with a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload. TeLEOS-2 will be capable of imaging at 1m full-polarimetric resolution and will provide all-weather day and night coverage.

During this launch, two satellites, Teleos-2 (741 kg) and Lumilite-4 (16 kg), will be launched into Sun Synchronous Orbit (SOR) at a height of 570 km above the Earth.
