The membership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified. A notification in this regard was also issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Earlier on Thursday, a court in Surat, Gujarat had sentenced Rahul to two years imprisonment. Now that Rahul’s parliamentary membership has been cancelled, a tweet by BJP leader Khushboo Sundar is going viral, for which the Congress has targeted the BJP.
In 2018, when Khushbu was in Congress, she tweeted, “Yahan Modi wahan Modi jahan dekho Modi…lekin yeh kya? Har Modi ke aage bhrastachar surname laga hua hai….#Modi mutlab #bhrashtachaar..let’s change the meaning of #Modi to corruption..suits better..#Nirav #Lalit #Namo = corruption..”
The Congress has targeted the BJP on this tweet by actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar. Party leaders have asked whether Purnesh Modi will now file a defamation case against Khushboo Sundar? Please tell that Khushboo is a member of the Women’s Commission.
Earlier, Khushboo Sundar had tweeted on the cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary membership, in which she wrote- Manmohan Singh wanted to bring an ordinance on the decision of the Supreme Court in 2013, But Rahul Gandhi tore him apart. The irony is that with today’s decision his membership has come to an end.
Let us tell you that while addressing an election rally in Karnataka in 2019, Rahul Gandhi had said – Why are Modi all thieves? Gujarat BJP leader Purnesh Modi had filed a defamation suit against him over this speech, on which a Surat court had sentenced him to two years in jail on March 23. However, he was immediately granted bail. Rahul now has 30 days to appeal against the Surat court’s decision.
