In fact, the 85th National Convention of Congress is going on in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi also addressed the 85th plenary session of the Congress party. During this, he said that Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra could be the last stop of my political innings.
Sonia Gandhi said that with the able leadership of Manmohan Singh, our victories in 2004 and 2009 gave me personal satisfaction but I am most happy that my innings ended with the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which marked a turning point for the Congress.
Since Sonia’s address, there has been a discussion that if Sonia Gandhi retires from politics, then who will contest from Rae Bareli seat, which is known as the stronghold of Congress. Rahul Gandhi will contest on this seat of Sonia or Priyanka, who has become active in Uttar Pradesh politics, will challenge the BJP from here.
In the session, Sonia also said that this is a challenging time for the Congress and the entire country. BJP-RSS has captured and ruined every single institution of the country. The BJP has created economic havoc by favoring some traders.
