The Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) announced the change in the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team on Saturday as Team India prepared for the opening Test series against the West Indies. The ed-tech platform Byju has been replaced as the upcoming lead sponsor for Team India by the fantasy gaming platform Dream11. The pivotal Test series against the West Indies, which will be Team India’s opening challenge in the ICC World Test Championship 2023–25 cycle, will take place before the change in lead sponsor.

In a statement, BCCI President Roger Binny congratulated Dream11 on taking on the role of Team India’s lead sponsor. The fantasy gaming site already supported the Indian cricket team as its official sponsor.
