Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday, according to the news agency PTI. The sources of the news agency claimed that she was admitted for a routine check-up. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accompanied her to the hospital, the sources claimed.
According to the sources ; she is suffering from respiratory issues and was unwell since Tuesday evening. Rahul Gandhi whose Bharat Jodo Yatra was in Uttar Pradesh yesterday came back to Delhi after walking just 7km.
Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed on Wednesday morning at 6:00 AM after faltering for a night in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the sources from the Congress party, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra didn’t join Rahul Gandhi at the resumption of the Yatra and is expected to join afternoon.
The Yatra will remain in Uttar Pradesh for two days and will enter Haryana’s Panipat by Thursday evening. After traversing from Punjab and a day through Himachal Pradesh, the Yatra will then enter Jammu and Kashmir. Starting from Kanyakumari on September 7, the Yatra has so far travelled over 3,000 kms. It will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar with the hoisting of the national flag by Rahul Gandhi.
