IMD Declared : Delhi experienced the season’s first heavy rain , highest rainfall in 40 years
Since Saturday, Delhi has been experiencing extremely heavy rain. Delhi Fire Service has reported water leakage, as many as 15 buildings collapsing, and one fatality. On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Delhi would experience 2-3 days of heavy rain.
According to the IMD, a western disturbance was in charge over northern India yesterday, causing a severe downpour that included Delhi, which saw the first significant amount of rain this season.
