Pakistan Economical Crisis : Pakistan gets another blow , Honda car production suspended for short period
Due to the bad economic condition of Pakistan, the auto sector is being badly affected. Recently some car companies also stopped production. Honda has also temporarily closed the plant in Pakistan from 8 March. Although production was expected to resume from March 31, the company extended the shutdown date. Now Honda’s plant will remain closed for the next 15 days i.e. till 15th April. Let us tell you that this is the biggest shutdown ever.
Auto companies in Pakistan are facing troubles at many ends. On one hand the economic condition is bad and on the other hand foreign payments are also stuck. Honda does business in Pakistan under the name of Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited. The company had announced the closure of the plant from March 8, since then the production has stopped.
According to media reports, Honda says that the economic challenges in Pakistan have affected its supply chain. Because of this the company is not in a position to do production. Therefore, the company has decided to stop production from 1 April to 15 April 2023. The unit of Japanese company Honda Motor Corporation Limited has given this information in a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
