The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has provided a weather forecast for the upcoming days across the country.
While heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in parts of northeast, northwest, and adjoining central India for the next five days, some regions will experience heat waves persisting for the next five days.
In eastern and central India, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions will prevail for the next four to five days. Simultaneously, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in parts of northeast, northwest, and adjoining central India during the same period.
Specifically, isolated pockets in Odisha, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, east Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema, and Tamil Nadu will experience heat wave conditions or heavy rainfall in the coming days.
In addition, regions such as Vidarbha, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, southwest and east Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, and Rayalaseema will witness varying degrees of rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and possible hailstorms.
