The Guwahati-NJP Vande Bharat Express is set to commence operations, providing a faster and more comfortable travel option for passengers. With operations starting on Monday, May 29, the train will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
This train will be the first Vande Bharat Express to operate in Assam and the Northeast region of India. It will connect Guwahati in Assam to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal.
The aim is to reduce travel time, with the Guwahati-NJP route being covered in approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, compared to the current fastest train, the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, which takes 6 hours and 30 minutes for the same journey.
