PM Modi Felicitates Workers with Shawls for New Parliament Building Construction

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards 11 workers who played a crucial role in constructing the new Parliament building. Following the inauguration of the sprawling complex, spanning an impressive 64,500 square meters, PM Modi personally felicitated the workers, presenting them with traditional shawls and mementos.

Over a period of nearly three years, these individuals tirelessly dedicated themselves to the development of the magnificent structure.

During the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi took the opportunity to highlight the significant contribution made by these workers. He emphasized that the construction of the expansive complex provided employment opportunities for approximately 60,000 workers.

As a testament to their hard work and craftsmanship, a digital gallery has been incorporated into the new Parliament building, showcasing their efforts for generations to come. This gesture reinforces the government’s recognition of the workers’ dedication and serves as an inspiration for others.

Among the honored workers was Satyaranjan Das from West Bengal, who had the responsibility of arranging food and water for the construction site workers. Additionally, individuals such as Ajaz Ahmed, a supervisor, and Uranjan Dalai, in charge of providing tea and water, were acknowledged for their contributions.

Other workers included Devlal Sukhar from Vadodara and Anil Kumar Yadav from Bihar, who worked on the outer wall of Parliament, and Subrata Sutradhar, responsible for installing bamboo floors inside the complex.

PM Modi’s gesture of honoring these workers showcases the government’s appreciation for their immense efforts and the crucial role they played in bringing the new Parliament building to fruition.

Their unwavering dedication and craftsmanship have left an indelible mark on this iconic structure, symbolizing the collective achievements of the nation as a whole.
