Kerala, India’s Malappuram district includes the village of Kodinhi. The settlement, which as of 2008 had about 2,000 households living in it, is located not far from the town of Tirurangadi.

Despite India having one of the lowest twinning rates in the world, the village’s exceptionally high number of multiple births, particularly twins, attracted interest from around the world.

300 healthy pregnancies were delivered by 300 women in 2008, and 15 sets of twins were born in the town. According to the population census, Kodinhi village has seen 60 sets of twins birth over the last five years. It seems that the twin rate is rising with each passing year and is anticipated to surpass past records in 2017!

There are many people who think it’s possible to run into your mirror image someplace in the world. This theory appears to be accurate in certain circumstances when we glance through our social media feeds and find celebrities who resemble other people, which makes us question whether there’s a chance that we might also be hiding a doppelganger someplace.

A town in India will blow your mind with the sheer amount of twins living there, among other mysterious things happening in the world. Although it may appear to be a typical village, there are at least 400 sets of twins in the community, which is made up of about 2000 families.
