A very strange case of theft has come to light from Rajghat, an island village in the submergence area of ​​Sardar Sarovar Dam in Barwani district. Here the thieves stole the 125 year old Shivling from Mukteshwar temple and ran amok.
As soon as the information about this matter came, the local police administration reached the spot. According to the police, this could be an act done by anti-social elements. At present, the police have started searching for the thieves.

Giving information on the incident, the priest of the temple said that the loan Mukteshwar temple was established in the year 1880. About 125 years old Shivling has been stolen from the temple. There was always a crowd of devotees in the temple because devotees come here to fulfill their vows.

According to media reports, the RinMukteshwar Mahadev Temple remains submerged in the back water of the Sardar Sarovar Project for several months. This temple has not yet been rehabilitated because the Narmada Valley Development Authority was giving land in the settlements for the temples, but the devotees associated with the temples demand that all these should remain on the banks of the Narmada.

That’s why land should be given only up to the extent of bank water. Also, there are many such temples in this area which have to be rehabilitated.
