The decrease in the Class XII pass percentage can be attributed to the students facing board exams for the first time in a while due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The School Education Minister, Inder Singh Parmar, acknowledged this factor as a significant reason behind the slightly lower results.

In the Class X examination, a total of 8,15,364 regular students appeared, with 3,39,441 students achieving a first division. Additionally, 1,30,971 private students took the Class X exam, and 3,405 of them secured a first division. The pass percentage for private students stood at 17.11%.
