Madhya Pradesh : 80 railway stations of MP will become world class, railway budget allocation of 13 thousand crores

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for the allocation of 13 thousand 607 crores in the Rail Budget 2023-24 for the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan said that the allocation for the year 2023-24 is Rs 13607 crore from the average allocation of Rs 632 crore from 2009 to 2014, which is 21.5 times more. This budget allocation will speed up the modernization of railways along with various rail projects and infrastructural works in the state of Madhya Pradesh. At present, works of 6,759 kilometers are going on in Madhya Pradesh in 40 rail projects costing Rs 86 thousand 336 crore.

80 railway stations of the state will become world-class

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, 80 railway stations of Madhya Pradesh will be made of world-class standards. These include Akodia, Amla, Anuppur, Ashoknagar, Balaghat, Banapura, Bargawan, Beohari, Berchha, Betul, Bhind, Bhopal, Bijuri, Bina, Biaora-Rajgarh, Chhindwara, Dabra, Damoh, Datia, Dewas, Gadarwara, Ganjbasoda, Ghoradongri, Guna. , Gwalior, Harda, Harpalpur, Hoshangabad, Indore, Itarsi Junction, Jabalpur, Junnardeo, Kareli, Katni Junction, Katni Mudwara, Katni South, Khachrod, Khajuraho, Khandwa, Khirkiya, Laxmibai Nagar, Maihar, Maksi, Mandla Fort, Mandsaur, MCS Chhatarpur, Meghnagar, Morena, Multai, Nagda, Nainpur, Narsinghpur, Neemuch, Nepanagar, Orchha, Pandhurna, Pipariya, Ratlam, Rewa, Ruthiyai, Sanchi, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Satna, Sagar, Sehore, Seoni, Shahdol, Shajapur, Shamgarh, Sheopurkalan, Shivpuri, Sridham, Shujalpur, Sehora Road, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Ujjain, Umaria, Vidisha and Vikramgarh Alot.

Feasibility study of seven railway stations started

Techno economic feasibility study of Bhopal, Singrauli, Khajuraho, Bina, Jabalpur, Satna and Ujjain railway stations has been started. From the year 2014, 971 rail flyovers and under bridges were constructed. There is a plan to open One Station-One Product stalls in 47 railway stations.

It is noteworthy that Rani Kamlapati station has been developed in Bhopal at a cost of 100 crores. Along with this, tender worth Rs 535 crore has been passed for Gwalior railway station. Tender for development works worth Rs 340 crore for Indore and Rs 300 crore for Khandwa railway station is under process.
